The BAFCA Board is a Sub Committee within BAFA’s Framework. The Board provides oversight and direction to American Football coaching & coach education in the UK.

BAFCA Chair: Coach Lydon Ward-Best
Coach Ward-Best is the Chair of BAFCA, responsible for elevating the standard of American football coaching across Great Britain.
Coach Ward-Best is a prominent member of the coaching community in the South West, currently coaching as the Offensive Line Coach for the Bristol Aztecs and the University of West of England Bullets.

Vice Chair: Coach Dave Gibbs
Coach Gibbs is the Vice Chair of the BAFCA Board, bringing strategic insight and vision to the development of coaching in the UK.
Coach Gibbs maintains a busy schedule on the field, currently working as the Offensive Coordinator for Great Britain and Head Coach of the Solent Thrashers.

Director of Development: Coach Pete Laird
Coach Laird serves as Director of Development for BAFCA, and is focused on strengthening the organization’s infrastructure, strategic partnerships, and long-term sustainability within the British American football community.
Coach Laird is a longstanding member of the coaching community in Scotland, and is the Head Coach of the Edinburgh Napier University Knights.

Director Without Portfolio: Coach Ian Hiscock
As a Director Without Portfolio of the BAFCA Board, Coach Hiscock works on a variety of multifaceted projects supporting the growth and development of American Football coaching in the UK.
Coach Hiscock has a growing reputation within the coaching community from his roles as the Head Coach of the University of Oxford Lancers, and Assistant Head Coach & Offensive Coordinator of the Oxford Saints.
