BAFCA Continued Professional Development Overview

The Continued Professional Development (CPD) of ALL of our coaches has to be a key priority moving forward. This will support the development of our players, the safety of our sport, as well increasing the standards of performance across all levels of play.

All CPD’s will be available to help gain the minimum amount of 40 credits over a 3 year period for revalidation. Meaning if coaches do not achieve the minimum number of credits over a 3 year period their current qualification level will need to be re-taken.

CPD Period’s will run January to December each year.

BAFCA is currently working on the options available for coaches to keep a log of their CPD opportunities.

Coaches who participate in and achieve set standards of CPD will be rewarded as below:

This is a list of approved CPD options for the renewal of any BAFCA Qualifications.

*This needs to be organised and BAFCA notified at least 4 weeks in advance of the event.

(a) 5 points awarded per day of attendance.

(b) Some Coach Tube courses may be awarded at 10 Points due to nature and demands of course.
