Jon Wyse is no stranger to the British American Football Community … and as many in our sport will be aware, people development is a huge personal and professional passion of Jon’s !
A Coach, a Player (still), and a former BAFCA and BAFA Committee Member: Jon was on the BAFCA Board from 2007-12 and 2014-16, serving as Director of Education, Vice-President and President. Jon has held a range of coaching roles, including the former GB Student “Bulldogs” Team, and was most recently Head Coach of the Staffordshire Surge in 2018-19. Jon was Vice-Chair of BAFA from 2016-18 and a Board Member from 2008-12 and 2015-18. As a player, Jon represented the GB Lions (1997 and 2008) and was also awarded the BritBowl MVP in 2004 with the PA Knights. Jon currently works at Loughborough College on the Diploma in Sporting Excellence scheme – designed to support athletes aged 16-18 years old in National Governing Body (NGB) Talent Pathways. This includes collaborative work with the coaching and multi-disciplinary teams who work with athletes.
